I grew up in North Carolina, where more than a decade of summers at Carolina Bible Camp—first as a camper, then as a staff member—gave me a lifelong foundation of faith and community. My tech journey actually started back then in Greensboro, spending my late teens writing HTML by hand and building PCs from spare parts. At 20, I packed up and moved to Abilene, Texas, kicking off a winding journey that definitely didn't follow a traditional path.
Along the way, I attended Abilene Christian University, worked a variety of jobs to pay the bills, and ultimately enlisted in the Navy. I spent my first year as a technician aboard a submarine before serving as a Quartermaster Third Class Petty Officer on the USS Gunston Hall—a massive amphibious transport ship. My time in the military taught me a lot about discipline, resilience, and the value of a really good story.
Returning to civilian life, I put down roots in Texas, earning my degree in Computer Administration and eventually moving into IT management. The following years brought my proudest milestone: starting a family and welcoming my daughter, Lauren. When the unpredictability of 2020 brought an unexpected layoff, I decided it was time to bet on myself. I launched my own IT and security business, turning a global curveball into the most rewarding chapter of my career so far.
While I love what I do, I’ve always been more than just "the tech guy." When I’m off the clock, you can usually find me spending time with friends, shooting a game of pool, or planning my next road trip—my ultimate goal is to visit all 50 states. I’m also a massive Harry Potter fan (I actually used to help run a major fan forum back in the day, so I will dominate at trivia night) and I love getting outdoors for some camping, hiking, or swimming.
Today, I’m happily settled in Fort Worth, carrying a "local-first" mindset into my business and staying active in my church. Life right now is about intentional growth: building my business, prioritizing my health and fitness, and soaking up every moment I can with Lauren. Ultimately, I’m looking for the right partner to share the journey, build a life with, and create a family together.
